Mumbai: Are new political equations being formed once again in Maharashtra? Is there going to be an alliance of Shiv Sena and BJP again in the state? A round of speculation started with a statement given by Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on Friday.
CM Uddhav Thackeray had arrived to participate in the program
In fact, a program was organized in Aurangabad on Friday on the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation War Day. Apart from CM Uddhav Thackeray, Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve and Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat were also present in this program.
My former and future colleagues present on stage- CM Uddhav Thackeray
In his address, CM Thackeray addressed by saying βmy former, present and future allies if we come togetherβ. Later in another function, Thackeray clarified that he had said former and present allies because there were leaders of all parties on the stage. βIf everyone comes together, they can become future allies,β he said. Time will tell.β
Speculations started for BJP-Shiv Sena alliance
After these two statements, speculations of coming to BJP and Shiv Sena again in the state (BJP-Shiv Sena Alliance) have started. At the same time, BJP is speaking carefully on this statement of Thackeray. Former CM of the state and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has given a statement on this issue. He said that Thackeray should now accept that the state is suffering because of Shiv Senaβs unnatural alliance with NCP and Congress.
Devendra Fadnavis said, βHe should make his point by understanding what kind of people he is working with. Everything is possible in politics, but the eyes of the state BJP are not on power. We are a capable opposition party and will continue to do our job.
BJP-Shiv Sena have lived together for two decades
Let us tell you that the alliance of BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra has been for more than two decades. Both the parties have participated many times in the power of Maharashtra including BMC. Both had fought the last election together, but due to sharing the tenure of the Chief Minister in half, there was such a rift between the two that their paths parted.
Shiv Sena later formed the government of Mahavikas Aghadi in alliance with Congress and NCP. The leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi claim that there is no possibility of Shiv Sena-BJP alliance and Aghadi government will complete its term.
No threat to government: NCP
NCP leader and minister in Maharashtra government Chhagan Bhujbal said, βNCP and Congress never harassed CM Thackeray. As far as the Mahavikas Adadi government is concerned, it does not face any kind of threat.
